When she appeared in the July 2003 edition of Vanity Fair, she was recognized as one of the years' most popular teen stars. In 2004, Vega produced two short films: Sleepover, and State's Evidence. In the Lifetime TV series Odd Girl Out as a cyberbully, she starred in 2005. In 2006, she starred in a TV movie in 2006 called Walkout. in 2007, she finished shooting Remember the Daze which was only released in limited theatres. Repo was finished. The Genetic Opera was released in 2008. Aram Rappaport composed and directed Helix on the set of Chicago. Filming started in the month of March in 2008.
