Awkwafina An American singer and actress began with a series of rap songs which dealt with the subject of race and sexuality. Her fame grew into Hollywood after she released an album of raps. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants, was her first music experience. She played the trumpet. After classical and Jazz training, she delved into hip-hop in her teen years. In college, she studied writing and women's studies. She even spent a short time studying Mandarin during her time in Beijing. After graduation, her focus shift to music. Following her viral success via the Internet and her own My Vag song My Vag was a reaction to the song of Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually appeared on her debut album Yellow Ranger. It also contained viral hits such as the body-positive Queef and the winking tour of her hometown the city of New York Bitche$. The track that was second on the album linked to Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide published in 2015, which was an additional project. In addition to having published a book as well, she also worked as a singer. She's appeared in movies such as Neighbors 2, Storks as well as Bad Rap. Her breakout role was in Dude Ocean's 8 as well as Crazy Rich Asians. This June, she released her debut EP "In Fina We Trust".
